Reboot and Power Cycle

The Clicksav device has a built in delay time for compressor turn ON. When it is reset or its power is restored, it will be bypassed for a brief moment. Unless the button is held for a certain amount of time, then the device will be bypassed as long as it held pressed.
Afterwards It will implement its own delay for the compressor to turn ON. The fan will turn ON first, followed by the compressor turning ON within 3 minutes.
Example: The compressor and fan are turned OFF by the device and the reset button is pressed at some point after. The device will apply delay for the compressor to turn ON.
The graphs below show the difference in behavior of applying no reset and applying a reset to the device.

Signals from Thermostat to HVAC system:

— Compressor signal (C)

— Fan signal (F)

— Heater signal (H)

Note: When the compressor is turned ON, the Fan will always be ON.
In Heat Pump systems, the compressor provides heat or cool (depending on selected settings).
CSCD: Compressor short cycle delay

This delay can occur during the time the short cycle protection delay happens. The time it takes for the compressor to turn ON will depend on which of the delays is the longest. If device reset happens during the end of the short cycle protection delay, its delay is added to the delay implemented by the thermostat.
Example: The system is turned OFF at the thermostat by the user. Then the system is turned ON again and the reset button is pressed at some point after. The device will apply delay for the compressor to turn ON.
The graph at the top right show the behavior when a short cycle protection delay happens.
The graph at the bottom right is shows a short cycle protection delay followed by the delay applied after resetting the device.
