Demand Response (DR) Combined with Compressor Run and Rest cycle
Possible Demand Response (DR) combined with Compressor Run and Rest cycle
Note: When the compressor is turned ON, the Fan will always be ON.
In Heat Pump systems, the compressor provides heat or cool (depending on selected settings).
Recall: Whenever room temperature is higher or equal to threshold temperature (value can be set online) the device is bypassed.
When room temperature continually decrease and rises, it is always best to consider a threshold temperature value that will not interfere with the duration of a Demand Response. Unless a cancelation is desired.
Example: Room temperature equal or above 75 degree Fahrenheit surpasses Threshold temperature value of 74 degree Fahrenheit. No Demand response or Schedule Shutdown will take place as long as room temperature is higher than 74 degree Fahrenheit.
Demand Response Codes 1,2,3, and 5 Events can be cancelled Before a read happens in 2 ways:
1. Set the threshold temperature lower than the room temperature the device currently monitors.**
2. Follow Schedule Shutdown cancellation steps.*
The threshold temperature must be set higher than room temperature, after cancelling Demand Response Events, in order for normal operation behavior or any future event to take effect.
Demand Response Code 0: is used to return the device to Normal Operation (Ex. After a diagnosis). After a Demand Response or Scheduler Shutdown event ends, the device resumes code 0 behavior.
Demand Response Code 4: is used for Diagnosis purposes and to Bypass the Device ( No need to change threshold temperature value online).
Demand Response Code 1: is used for Compressor turn OFF for 30 minutes
Demand Response Code 2: is used for Compressor turn OFF for 60 minutes
Demand Response Code 3: is used for Compressor and Fan turn OFF for 30 minutes
Demand Response Code 5: is used for Compressor turn OFF for up to 25 minutes

Signals to HVAC system:
— Compressor signal (C)
— Fan signal (F)
Note: When the compressor is turned ON, the Fan will always be ON.
In Heat Pump systems, the compressor provides heat or cool (depending on selected settings).
